Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy explains how ARTEFACT orders are produced, fulfilled, and delivered.

ARTEFACT is a small independent detectorist streetwear brand. Most products are made to order, which means your item is printed after your order is placed.


1. Made to order production

Each ARTEFACT item is produced after purchase. This helps reduce unnecessary stock and allows the brand to offer focused designs without mass-producing garments in advance.

Production time is separate from shipping time.

Most Printful products are produced within 2–5 business days. Production includes printing, quality checks, and packing before the order is handed over to the shipping carrier.

Production times may vary depending on the product, print method, order volume, stock availability, fulfilment location, and peak seasons.


2. Estimated delivery time

Estimated delivery time is calculated as:

Production time + Shipping time = Estimated delivery time

Most ARTEFACT orders require 2–5 business days for production before shipping.

After production, shipping time depends on your delivery country, fulfilment location, selected shipping method, and carrier.

As a general guide after fulfilment:

  • UK orders shipped from European fulfilment locations with Standard DDP may take around 3–7 business days after fulfilment.

  • International standard shipping may take around 5–20 business days after fulfilment.

  • Express shipping, where available, may take around 1–3 business days after fulfilment.

For many UK orders, the total estimated delivery time is often around 5–12 business days, including production and shipping. This is an estimate, not a guarantee.

The delivery estimate shown at checkout or in your order updates is the best guide for your specific order.


3. Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, product type, order size, and available shipping method.

Available shipping options may vary depending on the destination and fulfilment route.


4. Fulfilment partner

ARTEFACT works with Printful as its professional print and fulfilment partner.

The fulfilment location may vary depending on the product, destination, stock availability, and fulfilment routing. Your order may be produced and shipped from a fulfilment centre selected by the fulfilment partner.


5. Tracking

Where tracking is available for the selected shipping method, tracking details will be sent by email after your order has been dispatched.

Please allow some time for tracking updates to appear after dispatch. Tracking information can sometimes update with a delay, especially for international shipments or final-mile delivery.


6. UK orders, VAT, duties, and delivery

ARTEFACT is registered for UK VAT.

For UK customers, VAT may be shown and collected at checkout where applicable.

Where Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping is used, customs duties and taxes are handled in advance through the shipping method. This helps reduce the chance of extra charges on delivery.

If a different shipping method or route is used, customs handling may vary depending on the destination, carrier, and applicable rules.


7. International orders, customs, and import charges

For orders outside the UK, customs duties, import VAT, taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges may apply depending on your country and local rules.

These charges are not always included in the product or shipping price unless clearly shown at checkout.

Customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges required by their country, unless those charges are specifically included in the selected shipping method.


8. Delays

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by:

  • carrier delays
  • customs processing
  • weather disruption
  • incorrect or incomplete addresses
  • missed delivery attempts
  • stock or production delays
  • busy peak seasons

ARTEFACT is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs authorities, or incorrect delivery information provided by the customer.

If your order is past the estimated delivery date, please check your tracking link first. If there are no useful updates for several days, contact ARTEFACT with your order number.


9. Incorrect or incomplete addresses

Please make sure your shipping address is correct before placing your order.

If you notice an address mistake, contact ARTEFACT as soon as possible. Address changes cannot always be guaranteed, especially if the order has already entered production or been dispatched.

If an order is returned because of an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address, additional shipping costs may apply before the order can be resent.


10. Lost orders

If your order appears to be lost, please contact ARTEFACT with your order number and tracking details.

Each case will be reviewed with the fulfilment partner and carrier where applicable.

Please report delivery issues as soon as possible after the estimated delivery date has passed.
