THE STORY BEHIND THE FIND
This complete silver stater dates to the late Iron Age, around 60 BC–AD 20, and belongs to the South-Western uninscribed Durotrigian type. The obverse shows a stylised wreath, while the reverse features a stylised horse. Struck in silver and found on cultivated land by metal detector, it is a genuine recorded coin from Iron Age Britain.
