THE STORY BEHIND THE FIND
This complete cast copper-alloy socketed axehead dates to c. 1150–800 BC. It belongs to the Meldreth class and features a wide socket, a side attachment loop, recessed body angles, and a flaring cutting edge. The find was discovered on cultivated land by metal detector and later recorded with the UK PAS.
