A genuine Iron Age silver stater of the Durotriges, discovered by a metal detectorist on the Isle of Wight, England, and recorded by the UK Portable Antiquities Scheme.

THE STORY BEHIND THE FIND
This complete silver stater dates to the late Iron Age, around 50–20 BC, and is attributed to the Durotriges. The coin is uninscribed and belongs to the South-Western tradition. The obverse shows a degraded head of Apollo facing right, while the reverse features the characteristic disjointed and pelleted horse facing left. Discovered by metal detector at a club rally, it is a genuine recorded find from Iron Age Britain.

THE DESIGN
Built in the “A Fragment of Time” format, the print combines a technical catalogue layout, dimensional data, a UK location marker, and the vertical detectorist mark:
“FOUND WITH A METAL DETECTOR”

This design uses the obverse of the coin as the main visual, presented as a sharp monochrome artefact image against the series’ neon grid background. The lower “passport” panel lists ARTEFACT, MATERIAL, DATE, REGION, and the UK PAS Find ID — like a museum label rebuilt as modern streetwear.
