A genuine Roman copper-alloy finger ring with a nicolo-style intaglio, discovered by a metal detectorist in Snetterton, Norfolk, England, and recorded by the UK Portable Antiquities Scheme.

This ARTEFACT design turns a real archaeological find into a bold museum-meets-streetwear statement for people who value the story more than the trophy.

THE STORY BEHIND THE FIND
This incomplete Roman finger ring dates broadly to c. AD 43–410. It was cast in copper alloy and originally had an oval form, with expanded shoulders forming a broad bezel. Although much of the hoop and bezel is now missing, the ring preserves a two-tone oval glass setting imitating nicolo.

The intaglio is engraved with a standing male figure walking left and holding an uncertain object in each hand. Even in its damaged state, this is a personal Roman object with real presence — not just a decorative ring, but a small fragment of identity, status, and belief from Roman Britain.

Built in the Neon Series format, the print combines a smoke-neon palette, brutal typography, archive-style barcodes, a bold central artefact image, and the vertical detectorist mark:
